We made YARN EASTER EGGS today. Unfortunately, I don't think this was a "favorite" craft. :) The kiddos didn't like getting their hands so sticky. :)
Remember to let the yarn dry for at least
24 hours. I told the kiddos that they can pop the balloon before bed on
Thursday night. If you are able to hang the balloon up with a
clothespin, it will dry easier. When you pop the balloon, make sure to
hold the end of the balloon so you can pull it out easily. Make sure to
tuck in any loose ends before they dry. After the balloon is popped,
you can put it in a bowl as a decoration or hang it up with a cute
ribbon. If you pop the balloon and the yarn doesn't keep its shape,
simply insert a spoon in the egg and help form it again - then continue to let it dry.
We decorated suckers with edible ink - a gift from my mom. |
These were really fun to pop too!!!
