Bob Ross Paintings

Before we started our Bob Ross Paintings, we talked about Bob Ross and his beautiful simplicity as an artist  I encouraged each of the students to watch an episode of Bob Ross on the TV or Youtube with their parent's permission/supervision. 

van Gogh Paintings

Before we started painting, we talked about a few interesting facts about Vincent van Gogh.  He actually thought this painting of The Starry Night was a disgrace and not very good. He didn't start painting until he was 27 and he died when he was 37.  He only sold one painting in his lifetime and that was to a friend.  He died thinking he wasn't a very good painter.  The most expensive painting that was ever sold of his was 148.6 million dollars.  He painted approx. 900 paintings in 10 years.

Tie Dye Art

The best word I can use to describe this project is ADDICTING - in a good way.  I loved to see the color palette each student chose.  I love how every picture at every art class is so different - their personalities just shine!
